Mechinists like to wear machinery attachments to enhance their functionality - such as jeweler's glasses, hydraulic gloves, and metal backpacks. Their magic always gives its user a metallic sheen to parts of their body, or their entirety. Machinist magic also allows the user to literally "build" steampunk machinery onto themself out of raw materials, in the form of giant mecha limbs or tools.
There is very little natural architecture in their hearthworld, the area dominated by steam and coal-powered machinery. The plants that natrurally grow here all have an angular appearance, mimicking the dragon-made machinery. Mechinist architecture is blocky, heavy; imposing structures made of riveted steel, wood, and stone. Gears, smokestacks, vents, bulbous tanks, steam pipes, support struts, and turbines are all present. The environment is kept spotless. Brass gleams, wood is polished, and stone is marbled to a shine.
Led by Chief Engineer Dreadnought.
community census... coming soon...
Dragons in the Mechinists community have created machinery and energy sources that keep the industrialized parts of the Dragon Realms functional.
Some can be a bit particular about who they let peak under the hood of their creations, and they tend keep trade secrets close to their chests - be it out of worry their blueprints will fall into malicious hands, or because most Mechinists seem to dislike others baring in and trying to mess with their designs. They are in quiet talks with the Magic Crafters, working to hone in on the possiblity of magitech.
